Truth & Quantity is a data art project I created to focus on the things we count. Every day at 8am and 8pm, it takes the NPR’s hourly news update and reduces it to just the nouns and numbers: 7 suspects, 30 years, 2 billion dollars, etc.

This compilation covers all news updates from the last 6 years, between July 2009 and February 2016. It includes one track for each quantity between 2 and 99, and one for each order of magnitude between 100 and 100 billion.
